Aouatef Ismail Chouchane   Assistant Professor of Research in Dermatology

Dr. Ismail Chouchane is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine Ibn Al Jazzar in Sousse, Tunisia. She earned her Specialty Degree in Dermatology and Venereology in 1992 before advancing her studies with a post-doctoral fellowship in Biomedical Research at the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the NIH, USA. With over 25 years of experience in Dermatology, her expertise spans Clinical, Surgical, and Aesthetic Dermatology, as well as Dermatology Research. Throughout her career, Dr. Chouchane has held leadership roles, including serving as the head of Dermatology Departments for several years. In 2014, she joined Sidra Medical and Research Center in Qatar as an Investigator and Director of Dermatology Research. In 2022, she transitioned to Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar (WCM-Q), where she currently directs the Clinical Research Support Core.
Dr. Ismail Chouchane’s research interests primarily focus on allergic, inflammatory, and autoimmune skin diseases.
