Dr. Liming Bao is a clinical laboratory geneticist specializing in genome and gene testing of neoplastic and constitutional genetic conditions. He is board certified in clinical cytogenetics and molecular genetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics. His clinical expertise includes interpretation of genetic test results and providing consultation on test results and test utilization to healthcare providers. Dr. Bao has extensive experience in directing academic clinical genetics laboratories and test development. Dr. Bao’s research interests are genetic and genomic profiling of hematologic neoplasms and outcome correlation, and the study of underlying genetic causes for constitutional disorders. He has been collaborating extensively with basic science and clinical researchers on fundamental and translation research. Dr. Bao has directed cytogenomics shared resource faculties at academic medical centers to support institution-wide research enterprises. Dr. Bao participates in teaching next-generation healthcare professionals.
