Caroline Pearson   Assistant Professor of Research in Neuroscience

Neural progenitor cells are responsible for generating the billions of neurons and glia that form our incredibly complex and unique brains. In our group we focus on the intrinsic and extrinsic mechanisms that regulate neural progenitor cell maintenance and differentiation. Our aim is to elucidate the mechanisms that direct neural progenitor cell fate decisions to understand better how dysregulation leads to neurodevelopmental disorders including Autism and epilepsy.
