Derek Lake   Instructor in Population Health Sciences

Derek Lake, PhD, is a health services researcher and Instructor in the Department of Population Health Sciences at Weill Cornell Medicine. His research is broadly focused on how payment and delivery reform affect healthcare spending and outcomes among older Americans, particularly among those with post-acute or long-term care needs. Dr. Lake holds a PhD in Health Services Research with a concentration in Health Economics from the Brown University School of Public Health and an MSc in Health Policy and Economics from Weill Cornell Medicine. He has worked as a strategic analyst and economist for various health systems and accountable care organizations.
