Breast imaging: a breast surgeon's perspective. Review uri icon

Overview

abstract

  • Many changes have occurred in the past decade in the imaging of the breast. These improvements have led to more sensitive and specific breast imaging and to the widespread use of minimally invasive biopsy techniques. They have also facilitated a closer working relationship between breast imager and surgeon and have contributed greatly to the surgeon's ability to optimally diagnose and treat breast cancer.
