[Multi-detector CT angiography: Technique and clinical applications]. Review uri icon

Overview

abstract

  • Conventional angiography, which is the gold standard in vascular imaging, is invasive and has several known potential complications. Therefore, in recent years, less invasive techniques such as computed tomography (CT), angiography and magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) have became more widely used. With the advent of multi-detector technology, multi-detector CT angiography has replaced conventional angiography in most clinical circumstances. In this manuscript, the technique and clinical applications of multi-detector CT angiography are discussed with various examples.
