abstract

  • OBJECTIVE: The purposes of this video article are to show the normal anatomy of the elbow as visualized with ultrasound and to appreciate the role of a standardized scanning technique. CONCLUSION: The elbow is divided in quadrants, and in practice one of the quadrants is scanned in accordance with the clinical findings. Standard positioning and landmarks are helpful in performing a standardized protocol in examinations of the elbow and will aid in diagnosing pathologic changes.
