Anatomy of the female pelvis is superbly delineated by MRI due to excellent soft tissue contrast. In patients with infertility, MRI is the best technique to evaluate suspected myomata. Since tumors are directly visualized, MRI can be an effective technique for staging cervical, uterine, and vaginal malignancies.
