abstract

  • We report a patient who aspirated a fragment of plastic/foam rubber after a motor vehicle accident. Pneumonia with granuloma formation became apparent only 4 months after the accident. After removal of the fragment, revealed in the left lower lobe by fiberoptic bronchoscopy, the patient recovered.
