abstract
This study aimed to translate and evaluate the Prolonged Grief Disorder-Revised (PG-13-R) for psychometrically sound grief instruments in Indonesia. The cross-cultural adaptation process followed the five steps outlined by Beaton and the instrument was administered to 136 bereaved adults. The value for the Kaiser-Meier-Olkin test was .96. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) showed the goodness-of-fit results for the model structure. The composite reliability (CR) score for factor 1 was .90, for factor 2 was .78, and for factor 3 was .85. The scale exhibited strong test-retest reliability (intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC)= .89-.92). The range of factor loadings was from .47 to .76. A three-factor structure was identified through factor analysis. Findings indicated that the Indonesian version of the PG-13-R is a valid and dependable instrument for evaluating PGD symptoms in bereaved adults, thereby offering a valuable resource for future studies and clinical practice in Indonesia.
